So, as I put some essential oils into the drinks of myself and my family, I was asked if I’m supposed to do that. “Doesn’t that have chemicals and stuff in it?” No. Essential oils are oils straight from plants. Have you ever ate an orange? Lemonade? Peppermint or spearmint? If you have, you’ve already ingested these oils! If the oils come from an edible plant, the oils may be ingested.
It is true that some oils derive from plants that are not edible and should not be ingested. An example of oils that should not be ingested are OxyZen blend, Relaxation blend, Eucalyptus, and any blend containing eucalyptus oil. Also, remember if you are allergic to a food, you will also have adverse reactions to its oil.
About chemicals in oils. Buyers beware of cheap oils found in convenience stores or dollar stores because they do typically contain synthetic substances to stretch the yield so that they may be sold cheaper. Please do not ingest or put those oils on your body.
Simply Aroma only sells 100% pure essential oils.
What do you take for headaches? Ibuprofen? I know when I had headaches and migraines in the past, the first thing I reached for was my 800mg ibuprofen. Sometimes I used to take 4 or more tablets at a time and they still didn’t help. This is what ibuprofen contains:
“IBU, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), is availablein 400 mg, 600 mg, and 800 mg tablets for oral administration.Inactive ingredients: carnauba wax, colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystallinecellulose, polydextrose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate, titanium dioxide.”
Maybe, you take Tylenol? These are the synthetic substances you will find in Tylenol:
“Inactive ingredients
carnauba wax*, castor oil*, corn starch, FD&C red no. 40 aluminum lake, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol*, powdered cellulose, pregelatinized starch, propylene glycol, shellac, sodium starch glycolate, titanium dioxide
*contains one or more of these ingredients”
“[Posted 01/14/2014] ISSUE: FDA is recommending health care professionals discontinue prescribing and dispensing prescription combination drug products that contain more than 325 milligrams (mg) of acetaminophen per tablet, capsule or other dosage unit. There are no available data to show that taking more than 325 mg of acetaminophen per dosage unit provides additional benefit that outweighs the added risks for liver injury. Further, limiting the amount of acetaminophen per dosage unit will reduce the risk of severe liver injury from inadvertent acetaminophen overdose, which can lead to liver failure, liver transplant, and death.”
Do you really know what you are putting into your body?
Lets not forget the damage these products have on your liver, stomach, and intestines.
